Having been on my own journey of personal growth therapy and self-discovery, I understand how transformative a safe and supportive space can be. As a mother of both neurotypical and neurodivergent children, I bring lived experience, empathy, and understanding to parenting, neurodiversity support, and family challenges. These experiences shape the way I work, allowing me to meet each client with compassion, authenticity, and respect for their unique story, while also implementing trauma-informed counseling techniques.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University, a programme that combined rigorous academic study with extensive clinical practice. Through this training, I gained a strong foundation in counselling theory, therapeutic skills, and ethical practice, as well as hands-on experience working directly with clients in a supervised setting, including those seeking neurodiversity support.
I continue to build on this foundation through ongoing professional development and further training, ensuring that my approach to personal growth therapy and trauma-informed counseling remains informed, compassionate, and responsive to each client’s needs.

I am a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), the professional body that upholds high standards of training, ethics, and practice in Ireland. As part of this process, I have completed extensive client work during my degree, focusing on areas such as neurodiversity support and personal growth therapy, and I am currently working towards full accreditation, now well on my way to meeting the requirements.
In addition to my clinical practice, I actively contribute to the profession through ongoing IACP-approved training and by serving as Secretary of the Board of the Western Region of the IACP. This role allows me to stay closely connected with developments in the field, including trauma-informed counseling, and to support the growth of the counselling and psychotherapy community.

In addition to my psychotherapy training, I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Kingston University. A postgraduate diploma is a Level 9 qualification that builds on undergraduate study and provides advanced professional training. This programme covered areas such as workplace psychology, leadership, conflict resolution, and organisational behaviour — all of which enhance my understanding of neurodiversity support, personal growth therapy, and trauma-informed counseling, helping me navigate the challenges people face both personally and professionally.

I am a Chartered Member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development), a recognition that reflects my proven expertise, experience, and commitment to the highest professional standards in people management and development. This accreditation demonstrates not only my in-depth knowledge of HR best practices but also my ability to strategically apply it to drive business performance, foster employee engagement, and create positive workplace cultures. I integrate this knowledge into my work as a therapist, focusing on personal growth therapy and providing neurodiversity support. Having spent many years helping colleagues navigate challenging circumstances in their professional lives, I also emphasize trauma-informed counseling to promote healing and resilience.

Through ongoing professional development, I have completed a wide range of IACP-approved trainings to strengthen my practice and ensure I can meet the needs of diverse clients. These include training in trauma-informed counseling techniques, trauma-informed grounding methods, and working with children and adolescents. I have explored vital areas such as the teenage brain, attachment theory, child development, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Additionally, I have trained in supporting children through grief and loss, as well as in personal growth therapy focused on inner child work to help adults heal early wounds.
My development has also emphasized neurodiversity support, including addiction (with a focus on CBT approaches), suicide alertness, and working ethically with clients online. Furthermore, I have undertaken Tusla Children First – Mandated Person training, ensuring safe practice and compliance with child protection legislation. I am also experienced in adapting therapy for autistic clients, both children and adults, with a focus on creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
